Public Access to Court Electronic Records - PACER
The PACER System offers an inexpensive, fast, and comprehensive case information service to any individual with a personal computer (PC) and a modem. The PACER system permits you to request information about a particular individual or case. The data is displayed directly on your PC screen within a few seconds. The system is simple enough that little user training or documentation is required. Electronic docket summaries and other case information can be accessed via the internet twenty-four hours a day.
Updates to cases are posted to the system as they occur. Information is available both for active cases and a large number of closed cases - all without having to make telephone calls or trips to the court.
PACER is available only through the Internet in this district. You must have Internet access through an Internet Service Provider. Any type of modem (standard, cable or DSL) may be used. You must establish an account with the PACER Service Center.
For further information and to register to use PACER, contact the PACER Service Center at (800) 676-6856.
